Nursery
Newborn - 2 Years
Our Vision
Our mission in the nursery is for our room leaders to embrace these values to ensure a safe and healthy environment.

BE PRESENT - Show up consistently: our volunteers serve on a weekly basis. This means that you will see the same faces each week when you drop off your kiddos.
CREATE A SAFE PLACE - We thoroughly train our volunteers on how to best care for babies of all stages, and volunteers are placed in classrooms based on their ability to best serve that specific age range. We have in-depth policies and procedures for diapering children, and only female adults are allowed to do so. We also equip all of our volunteers with proper emergency and evacuation plans
PARTNER WITH PARENTS - Our volunteers are here to connect with you. We will ask you about any needs that your child may have during their time in our care. We will let you know how they did and inform you if we fed them or changed them during their time in the nursery. We are equipped to help with anything you need to best care for your kiddos.
What to Expect
In our Nursery environment, kids are placed in classrooms based on development - Birth (infant), Crawling, Walking, Toddler, Two years old.
This means that if your baby is crawling, they will be in a classroom with other babies who are crawling. If your baby is walking, they will go in the classroom with other walking babies.

As your baby grows throughout the year, we rely on you to let us know when you are ready to move your child up to the next classroom. We do this up until the Toddler age (18months - 2 yrs old), and then they will sit tight in the toddler classroom until we launch all of our kiddos into their next classroom each year in May.

Two-Year-Olds
Next up are the two-year-old classrooms!
We have 2 two-year-old classrooms: Upper Two’s and Lower Two’s. This is where we begin teaching lessons based on these 3 basic truths:
God MADE Me.
God LOVES Me.
Jesus wants to be My FRIEND Forever.
This is also the time when we begin to format their birthdates to align with the school system, so that as they move up each school year, they'll be ready to move into the next class at Mission as well.
