Item Donation

With the holidays just around the corner, we are excited to announce MISSION's fifth annual Thanksgiving food box collection. The goal is to furnish traditional Thanksgiving food items to multiple MISSION Impact partners. With your help and generosity, MISSION will enable those organizations to bless hundreds of families in the East Valley so that they can enjoy a holiday meal. If you call MISSION home, this is yet another awesome opportunity to be the Church by supporting families who need help. Please bring your donations to the Worship Center before or after services on Saturday, 9/20, or Sunday, 9/21. The items requested are: Large cans of sweet potatoes, large boxes (or pouches) of mashed potatoes, large boxes of stuffing, large jars or cans of gravy, cream of chicken or mushroom soup, cans of corn or green beans, boxes of brownie mix, fidget toys ("quiet" / rubber), HIGH PRIORITY: $30 gift cards to Walmart (that will accompany the items above to make a complete Thanksgiving meal possible). If you have any questions, please call us at 480-545-4024 or email [email protected]. Thank you for supporting our local community in need!

Our Featured Local Impact Partners

MISSION is dedicated to fostering partnerships with DCS (Department of Child Safety) throughout the entire year. Through our impactful collections, we consistently gather essential items aimed at benefiting foster children and the parents who provide foster care. In our most recent endeavor, we distributed a generous supply of 232 empty backpacks, enabling foster placements to replace their reliance on plastic bags with brand-new, sturdy bags for their personal belongings.

This year, our mission extends to sponsoring 500 foster children to ensure they experience the joy of receiving Christmas presents they might not otherwise have received. It's important to note that last year, thanks to your unwavering generosity, we contributed a significant portion, accounting for a remarkable one-quarter of all the gifts distributed across the entire state of Arizona. Your support is truly making a meaningful and positive impact on the lives of foster children and their families.

Mission and DCS in the News

In 2020, a disturbing trend emerged, revealing a staggering 98% increase in online attempts made by sex traffickers in their relentless efforts to recruit vulnerable children. Shockingly, the average age at which at-risk youth fall victim to the clutches of sex trafficking in Arizona stands at a mere 13 years old.

Amidst this grave concern, the Phoenix Dream Center stands as a steadfast guardian, unwavering in its commitment to combat human trafficking and facilitate the restoration of lives shattered by this heinous crime. Their multifaceted approach encompasses the provision of safe and secure housing, spiritual nurturing, the application of a family systems model, access to advanced education, and therapeutic healing.

Notably, the Phoenix Dream Center has designated rooms that are poised for renovation, a pivotal step in expanding their capacity to rescue more children from the clutches of human trafficking. It is with immense gratitude that we acknowledge the tremendous impact of your generosity during the 2022 Season of Impact, as MISSION is able to sponsor the complete renovation of one of these rooms, ushering in hope, safety, and transformation for those who have suffered the most.
