TheoPraxis: How to Engage Culture
Every week on Thursday until Mar 9, 2017 from 6:30p to 8:30p

How Do We Best Engage With Culture?

When faith and culture intersect, there is often disagreement, so much so that it can be difficult to find common ground. It can sometimes make us wonder if it’s possible to show someone the love of Christ when our views of the world are so different. How we think about issues, from politics to sexuality, is as important as what we think about them.

  • How do we balance our theology with how we minister to others?
  • Why do we tend to avoid people with different perspectives and lifestyles?
  • What would you do in certain real-life situations?

Theopraxis: Modern

In this 3–week Theopraxis module called Modern: A Discussion About Engaging Culture, we will discuss some root causes of existing cultural tensions. We'll also focus on how to walk alongside someone who has a different viewpoint than you.

Over these three weeks, you’ll have a chance to interact with other leaders, do some personal assessments, and engage in fun competition.

This module is being offered to all volunteers serving in a leadership role regardless of ministry area.
